Another F-82 Launched in Auckland, New Zealand
Ian Wilks has now launched his F-82, after a less than two year building period. Ian writes:
Hi Ian,
Just a quick note to thank you for your excellent plans. I launched "Raccoon" a few days ago and am now learning how to sail a trimaran - never having set foot on a multi-hull before, this whole build process has been a huge leap of faith!
In the couple of sails I have had so far, the boat has handled beautifully - so fast and stable even my wife loves it! I am now under pressure to finish the interior so that we can have an extended cruise.
Your plans have been absolutely wonderful. I was never in any doubt how to proceed and I enjoyed the whole building experience (well, not the long boarding!). It took me a few months more than I expected (20), but it is very satisfying to have done everything myself.
I have yet to get some good sailing pictures, but with the whole of Summer ahead, I am sure that will change.
