The F-35C ALL CARBON RACE BOAT
Custom built by Lonestar Multihulls, for owners Robby Greene of Dallas and Andy Green of
Port Arthur, the F-35C is the fastest F-boat ever.
Now undergoing the initial sea trials.
Owner Robby Greene has now supplied a sailing video, and writes:
Hi Ian,
Here’s a video clip of the F-35C in ~7 knots of breeze, close hauled with the working jib and main. We were doing 16 knots by GPS at the time this was shot!

The GPS recorded max speed was 17.8 knots in a close reach with same sails and wind strength (actually slightly more but still no white caps). Sustained speeds for the day of the video on close reaching were between 12-14 knots (closer to 14 most times). The current was negligible and it was an ebb tide while we were heading in.

The all epoxy carbon F-35C is only built to custom order, and price starts at around US$300,000. Can be built by an approved professional builder, or it may become a future project for Farrier Marine (NZ) once the F-22 is setup and fully in production. Note that this is a highly powered racing boat and for experienced sailors only.
