F-22 Building in California

Tom Chrien is building his F-22 in Southern California and writes:

Ian,

I am close to attaching the beams and floats! How do you like my trailer? Photos of the production F22 look great. I like the way you mounted the motor forward, but I don't think I can do that on my boat due to the swept back transom on the floats.

Thanks much.

Tom's aluminum trailer is very simple and should be very light. Looks like he may have an aluminum or fiberglass winch mount post, the same as we are using on the factory trailer. One less piece of galvanized steel!

The factory molded outboard bracket may fit on home built boats, as hulls should be identical in this area, and we will be trying it soon on Rob Densem's locally built F-22. Should still clear float sterns which are actually in the same position on both boats.
