Two F-22s have made an appearance in one race for the first time, with Jabin Crisp (Stickshift) and Jack Mason (sailing David Mason's Fleetwing) competing in the 2010 Qld. (Australia) Nationals. STICKSHIFT did particularly well, with only larger and more race orientated multihulls finishing in front. Jabin Crisp writes;
Just finished the Qld Multihull States on the weekend, we finished 5th or 6th on OMR but won the performance handicap for the event. Was great racing against another F-22 (Fleetwing) who also showed great pace !
Day 1. Light conditions we creamed the start to lead the fleet to the first mark under screacher to windward and rounded the 2nd mark in the lead group. A tacticle error caused us to drop off there heals from there.
Day 2. Light to moderate conditions with three windward leawards where we sailed consistantly up towards the front of the fleet finishing in front of much larger multi's
I hear that there will be possibly be 3 F-22's for the Bay to Bay Classic in May !
