Two More F-22 Launchings!

In The Philippines

Meanwhile in Manila, at Melvest Marine, Marcus Tomblin's F-22R "Kermit, the little green
racing machine", is ready to leave the factory!

How about that finish?

..and the other side!

Owner Marcus Tomblin and designer Ian Farrier

Raising the mast - went very well, and even though a tall 'R' mast it seemed effortless

Launched!

A great looking boat - green can be a controversial colour for a boat, but it grows on one!

Plenty of deck space

and an idyllic tropical setting on Lake Taal, the Philippines. Unfortunately sails were not
ready when I had to leave, but Marcus has now been sailing with main and temporary jib,
and writes: "Hit 14 knots today with a nasty old jib and everything pretty poorly adjusted
in about the same wind.. she sails very well, everyone happy!

In Australia

Lloyd and Jabin Crisp's F-22R (cuddy cabin version) in the water, after a 12 month
building time, and looking very light. Motored at 9 - 10 knots with a 6HP outboard.

Now with mast up, and Lloyd has just reported reaching over 15 knots of boat speed in 10 - 15 knots
of wind on their second sail, while on a tight reach. Now just waiting for some sailing photos.
Plenty of room in that cockpit!
